Homework Handyman Solutions LLC is owned and operated by Mike Sassin out of Middlebury, Vermont. Mike has been interested in fixing thing since childhood, when he would watch his dad and granddad fix things and try out what he learned by taking his toys apart and putting them back together (sometimes even successfully). In high school, Mike took as many vocational classes as he could alongside his core academics, learning building trades, woodworking, drafting, machining, and welding. After high school, Mike spent some time playing in a DIY punk band before attending university and obtaining a BS in Psychology. It was during his undergraduate years that he began working with children with learning and developmental disabilities. After attending graduate school to obtain degrees in special education and behavior analysis, Mike worked as a special educator, behavior analyst, special education and behavioral consultant, and with the Vermont Agency of Education. While working as an educator, Mike was continually honing his handyman skills by working on projects around his own house and being the "go-to" for friends and family, always willing to lend a hand to their projects. After nearly 20 years in the education field, Mike decided it was time for a change and founded Homework Handyman Solutions, which combines his love of helping others with his love of problem solving and working with his hands. Mike would love to be the "go-to" person to call when you need a hand with your home projects.
